The sheep head, after being thoroughly scalded, is placed inside a large, horizontally or inclined drum.
The inner wall of the drum is lined with dense, elastic rubber rods or protrusions. As the drum rotates at high speed, the sheep head repeatedly rolls, tumbles, and rubs against itself inside the drum, while the machine sprays clean water.
Under the combined action of mechanical friction and the washing force of the water, the hair is quickly removed.
