Mechanical peeling machine: Type of cowhide separation equipment

Mechanical skinning machines are specialized equipment used to completely peel whole hides (including those from pigs, cattle, sheep, horses, donkeys, etc.) from the carcass after slaughter.

This is the first crucial step in the leather industry.

Unlike hair removal, skinning uses mechanical force (such as blades, clamping rollers, and hydraulic tension) to separate the hide from the subcutaneous tissue.

Common types include vertical and horizontal skinning machines. The core objective is to ensure the integrity of the hide, eliminate knife holes, and minimize fat and meat residue, which directly determines the value of the leather.

Operating these machines requires a certain level of technical skill.
